Banned for a month

Vesti Tools is being changed into a Firefox Extension and will then be ported over to Google Chrome. Its tentative new name is IGN++.

1.1.2, buttons disabled until keys found and immediately after posting, settings, integrated tools, and extra board options work now

1.1.0, ignore, wul links, no more toolbar, extra board options

1.0.7, autorefresh replies and thread preview

1.0.6 is out, more fixes for classic and stuff

Version 1.0.4 is out and has limited compatibility with the board update. Use the Gray or White layout.

1.0.5 released, PM links now hijacked, can quote and edit on Classic

Made a page for the Betaboards Stylesheet Suite

Version 1.0.0 is available. The big one. Changelog is too big. Uninstall existing version first.

1.0.1 fixes a few bugs

1.0.2 fixes some more bugs, usability issues

Autorefresh replies is working. Using objects within objects instead of ridiculous while loops and stuff.

The new panels and quick stats are pretty much done, check out the neutral build

Looks like Firefox (3.5.2 at least) supports contentEditable on divs. Looks like I'll be able to eliminate yet another iframe from the mix (ABP users, this is good!). Unfortunately, there's a pretty big (500-700ms) lag when opening panels right now. It could be the iframe that I haven't removed yet, but I'm thinking that it's my crazy CSS that eats up your processor on reflow. I'm not really adding much content (20 divs or so), but I think with all the fluidity things get bogged down (the panel fits perfectly to width and height, the textarea takes up as much space as it can, emoticon area takes up as much space as it can). Any CSS experts out there?

I have successfully posted two topics with an xmlhttprequest. Getting rid of iframes seems 100% feasible!

Check out the neutral build if you want to try it.  It won't be very fun to use, I'm afraid.

Version 0.9.7 is available. Many changes, new settings panel, optimizations.

Version 0.9.6 is available. WYSIWYG, asterisks, bugfixes.

0.9.61 is out

Version 2.0.0 of the Last.fm Compatibilitizer is up

I won't be around until sometime on Monday I'm back

Unbanned! Version 0.9.5 is out. Usercolor picker, manual ignore list management, bugfixes.

Nine more hours...

Looks like there's a bit of a glitch with autocensor, lol. My b. Turn it off when you want to say " night".  Fixed it, 0.9.45 is up.

0.9.41 is out, removed some debug code triggered when quoting with pretext

Version 0.9.4 is now up. Usercolors, pretext, autocensor, bugfixes.

IMPORTANT: I am banned and have not actually posted with this version.  I have no access to the reply form, but everything should work.  If it doesn't, then downgrade.  If you PM me or post a question on the Vesti, I can't answer you!  Ask questions on here.

If you see this and it hasn't been done already, please alert the Vesti with the changelog and usual format.

I've released my Arrondi and Updated Poll/Sticky Images stylesheets on userstyles.org

Demystifying Vesti Tools

While banned, I've seen a lot of people confused, misinformed, or otherwise incorrect in their perception of Vesti Tools.  Out of frustration, here are my responses:

btbrian - I hate the bottom bar thing in Vesti Tools though.

You can turn it off!  Just right-click the greasemonkey icon, go to user script commands, toggle the toolbar, and refresh the page.  The reply and PM panels will still pop up when link hijacking is enabled.

It slows down the boards

Well sure, that's why I included about a thousand things you can turn off if your computer can't handle it.  Preloading can make pages appear to load slowly, try turning it off.  Autorefresh eats bandwidth like a fiend, so does AutoWUL when you use it.  Try turning off drop shadows.  If your PC's really bad, turn off WUL Links and link hijacking.  I will admit that loading post forms in an iframe is not optimal, but it's the only way I know how to do it that will work for sure.

I don't like how it looks

Everything should be fully style-able with Stylish.  You can toggle drop shadows and move the bar around to where you like.

Firefox 3.5 users, click here and here, holy fucking shit this is awesome

I'm banned for a week for spamming a dead board I use for testing.  Either a mod looked at my post history for some reason or just happened to be roaming through the H section of the all game boards category, or someone reported me.  There are three other people that know about that board.  Not to point fingers or anything, but one person found out about it without me telling them, the night I was banned: Jevus2006.

In hindsight, I probably should've used an alt to test.  Oh well, this just means that whoever uses the script from the next release onward is an alpha tester.  Don't cry if something doesn't work.

In my banned state, I have access to the boards and post forms - I can't do anything with them, of course.  Redirection will be impossible to test.

I'll still work on the script, but I can't notify the vesti if there's an update.  If you see a new release up here, please alert everyone (even though auto update should kick in after a day).

Version 0.9.2 is now available. Keyboard shortcuts, custom markup colors, autorefresh PM count, bugfixes...

Version 0.9.1 is now available. Autofocus, hide toolbar, bugfixes

Version 0.9.0 is now available. Ignore users, show/hide replies, bugfix

Version 0.9.01 released, HTML parser fixes
